About the Artist

Maurice Utrillo (1883 – 1955) French painter, son of painter Suzanne Valadon. He learned to draw and paint with his own mother and from 1903 he devoted himself entirely to art. He painted numerous views of Montmartre and the Parisian suburb. His style became personal at the same time naive and refined
