About the Artist

Candido Portinari (1903 -1962) was a Brazilian artist.

Portinari painted nearly five thousand works of small sketches and standard ratios of paintings, such as The Coffee Farmer, to giant murals, such as War and Peace panels, presented to the UN headquarters in New York in 1956.
