About the Artist
Clóvis Graciano (1907 – 1988) was a painter, designer, set designer, costume designer, writer, illustrator and muralist Brazilian.
During his entire career, Graciano remained faithful to figuration, never even having mild sense of seduction by abstractionism. He tried constantly to social issues, such as the refugees, as well as issues of musicians and dance.
His works are exhibited at the Bandeirantes Palace, the seat of government of the State of São Paulo and appear in museums and private collections in Brazil and abroad.
