About the Artist

Oscar Pereira da Silva (1867- 1939) was a painter, designer, decorator and professor of the late nineteenth century to the twentieth century. In 1882 he enrolled at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts where his contemporaries Eliseu Visconti, Eduardo Sá and João Batista da Costa.
